My client based in north west Manchester is currently looking to recruit a Customer Support Engineer, to be based on the client site, on a permanent basis. The Customer Support Engineer would ensure that the customer site is fully operational to the customer.
The role of Customer Support Engineer will involve providing remote customer service, preventive maintenance of machines, corrective maintenance of machines, and maintenance of site stock, maintenance and updating of documentation, liaising with customers and Service Manager and operation training to Machine Operators.
Successful candidates for the role of Customer Support Engineer will have 3 to 4 years previous experience in repairing and maintaining complex machinery, ideally with paper feed and laser mechanisms. Candidates must also have a nationally recognised qualification in engineering or a relevant field.
Hours: Rotating shift pattern of early (06:00-14:00), late (14:00-22:00) shifts. The position is Monday to Friday but there may be times that the site needs cover on Bank Holidays and weekends, at which point overtime at a higher rate would be applicable.
Salary: £25,500 with a Flexibility Allowance of 17.5% of basic salary payable constantly.
