I am sure many of us have had that moment where we go to do something, walk into another room and then every single thought in our head completely disappears and we completely forget what we were just about to do? – Yes, it happens to all of us!

Well, there is now a day that is dedicated to forgetting – and it’s today!

Although forgetting is a common and natural occurrence, it is highly important to make sure, when applying for jobs that you do not forget what jobs you have applied for and when you have applied for them. It is always a good idea to make a list of this as when recruiters or employers call to discuss the role in more detail, you will know exactly the role they are calling about and will not have to ask the dreaded question “Sorry, what role was this for again?” As you can imagine, this start to a conversation with a potential employer is not a great first impression!

As recruiters, we tend to receive applications from candidates who may have already applied for the same position elsewhere, but do not remember. This not only delays the recruitment process, but also may jeopardise the candidate’s chance of even being offered an interview.
