Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer for a full-time, permanent role, based in Bedford.

The purpose of the 2nd Line IT Support Engineer role is to provide 2nd line technical support to key clients, maintaining a high degree of client service and ensuring responses are accurate. As an initial point of escalation for the 1st line team, you will be required to take escalations, fully understand the problem and resolve all issues within agreed SLAs.

As the ideal 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will possess the following:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working for a managed service provider
  • Good working knowledge of Windows Desktop (7, 8.1, 10), Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016, Hyper V) and Active Directory
  • Good understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration
  • Good working knowledge of Office 365 maintenance, configuration and changes
  • An Understanding of networking, IP addresses, DNS and what makes up an IT network
  • Experience of diagnosing internet connectivity and Wi-Fi issues
  • An Understanding of printer errors, printer configurations, including reinstalling drivers and changing printer options within Windows.

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits
