Production and Workshop Administrator

Our client based in Hitchin have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Production and Workshop Administrator with excellent co-ordination skills to join their busy team. They are a top supplier in their field and one of the few companies in the UK who manufacture products on a bespoke basis.

This role would be suitable for an excellent communicator who is well organised and familiar with working in production or manufacturing surroundings. You will have strong administration skills, confident on computers including MS Office and the ability to learn. You will enjoy a varied role and being hands on working in a busy environment.

This is a permanent position paying up to £22,000 + good benefits

The role…

As the Production and Workshop Administrator your role will involve the following important duties:

  • Working between the office and workshop
  • Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers
  • Complete sales order processing
  • Dealing with purchase ledger invoicing and statements
  • Creating Bills of Materials from the workshop
  • Creating and completing works orders
  • Maintaining and updating internal systems accurately

 

The experience required…

  • Experience in administration in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Quick learner who is keen to learn
  • Practically minded individual
  • Able to work under pressure within a team or individually
  • Exceptional attention to detail is required for this position
  • Confident in IT including all Microsoft Office packages
